Blur as a whole entity have been out of our lives for a little while now, and when it was revealed last month by singer Damon Albarn that the band regularly sees each other, fans began to speculate that it might mean some new music would eventually be on its way.

In a new interview with NME, bassist Alex Jones says that they do indeed see each other regularly, and that in fact they’d be getting together over Christmas. He added that the band will probably record again. And, if the band will be taking a new approach, as he hinted, it may be even sooner than later.

“Is there such a thing as an album?,” he said. “Does music have to come 12 tracks at a time?”

He also said he has no idea what it would sound like, due to singer Albarn’s ongoing eclectic projects.

Sounds like it’s only a matter of time, Blur fans. [via NME]
