Comedy/music trio Lonely Island are beng sued for allegedly ripping off two producers, Rick Tha Ruler and Monique Hinds, who claimed the basis of two of their songs were used, uncredited, for Lonely Island’s Saturday Night Live digital shorts/viral video hits “Shy Ronnie” (brilliantly featuring Rihanna), and “Like A Boss.”

Ruler and Hinds say their songs were brought to Lonely Island’s Andy Samberg through a mutual friend, but there was no credit for their songs on the album. Ruler says he initially signed a production deal entitling him to 25 percent of the profits, but has yet to see it.

Along with Lonely Island, NBC, SNL, and Universal Music Group have been named in the suit as well, which is for undisclosed damages. [via Consequence of Sound]
