Toronto’s Maylee Todd may still be toiling away on a follow-up to last year’s attention-grabbing Choose Your Own Adventure while simultaneously touring Europe, but she’s decided to share a new song for streaming or download via her Bandcamp to cap of 2011.

“Hieroglyphics” is, as perfectly described on the site, “classic disco-funk boogie, guitar- and synth-driven with infectiously soulful vocals—an homage to the classic club sounds from the 70s and 80s that’s sure to have you headed straight for the dance floor.”
