Members of Hot Chip and LCD Soundsystem have formed a new project—New Build is London-based, and so far sounds very much like a natural amalgamation of those two forces.

The band is made up of Hot Chip’s Al Doyle (who was also an LCD Soundsystem player) and Felix Martin, plus engineer Tom Hopkins. The band’s early sessions have featured LCD drummer Pat Mahoney as well, as the band embrace the nature of the rotating, collaborative collective.

On November 28, they’ll be releasing the Misery Loves Company limited edition twelve-inch, and in the meantime check out what they sound like below. [via The Daily Swarm]
