Gwar will still play Canadian dates after the death of guitarist Cory Smoot

Following the sudden and unexpected death of Gwar guitarist Cory Smoot, aka Flattus Maximus, yesterday, the band has announced that it will go ahead with its Edmonton show tonight, the Edmonton Journal reports.

The band were preparing to cross the border into the country for a few shows when Smoot was found dead by his bandmates. No cause of death has yet been released, nor have future plans for the rest of the Gwar tour. march on, brave soldiers.
