George Michael has been forced to put his Symphonica tour on hold after being diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week. Michael, 48, is currently receiving around-the-clock care at AKH General Hospital in Vienna, Austria, with a recent report by the Daily Mirror suggesting that he’s been moved to an intensive care unit. An unnamed source tells the Mirror, “George is [doing] very poorly. He’s getting the very best care and we are all praying he gets better as soon as possible.”

Michael’s publicists meanwhile claim that he’s on the road to recovery, telling reporters that the “Faith” singer is doing fine, and “just needs to rest.”

Another, unnamed source (confirmed to be a doctor at the hospital) claims Michael is also being treated by cardiologists for “serious heart problems”. Whatever the case, all future tour dates have been shelved under doctors’ orders.
