Boredoms putting together a 111 person drum circle for 11/11/11

For the fifth straight year noise-rockers Boredoms are looking to put together one hell of a drum circle. Following last year’s 10/10/10 Boadrum, the Japanoise experimentalists are putting together a drum circle of 111 drummers (100 of which will just be playing cymbals!) for this Friday’s cool looking date of 11/11/11.

Set to take place in Byron Bay, Australia, 111BoaDrum will feature guest drummers such as Zach Hill (Hella) and Hisham Bharoocha (ex-Lightning Bolt), and if anyone from down under is reading this, you can apply to take part here. Act fast, though: the performance is just days away.
