A digital revolutionary, the co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, died at age 56 from pancreatic cancer complications on October 5.

It was news heard around the world in seconds, as news is now of course, no doubt thanks in large part to what Jobs did for electronics and mobile communication. His impact on the music world cannot be understated; iTunes and iPods and Macbooks, to put it simply, changed the way the world consumes and listens to and creates music.

A wonderful history and obituary can be read at the New York Times, but as music and technology lovers here at AUX, we wanted to see what musicians had to say as well—yes, even the ones that use Blackberry. Here are some reactions to the passing of a remarkable mind; a visionary for and of our time.
