Listen to Johnny Marr collaborate with Best Coast, Au Revoir Simone, and Tom Vek

Johnny Marr has done a new project with Ray Ban that has him showing objects of inspiration to other bands and having them write a song based on it. Okay!

For instance, he showed Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino a vintage-looking photo of some friends of his and they wrote “In Your Sleep,” It’s dreamy and Best-Coasty and you can listen to it, as well as songs with Au Revoir Simone and Tom Vek over at right here.

“I just looked around my studio and life and took the parts of my world that are of interest to me, and then rolled with it,” Marr told Spin. “It sounded confusing to me at first, too, but it turned out to be amazing.” [via Spin]
