How about a little self-confidence, guys? Just days after the release of Audio, Video, Disco, their rock-centric follow-up to †, Justice has told Digital Spy that they turned down the chance to remix a Johnny Cash song, not because they couldn’t do it, but because they think they’d only make the song worse.
“It’s just crazy how people in the music industry are dying for us to do remixes,” said Gaspard Auge. “When the song is already good, we can only make it worse.”
Justice won the Grammy for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical in 2009 for their reworking of MGMT’s “Electric Feel.” In the past they’ve also remixed songs by Britney Spears, Fat Boy Slim and even some of their own songs. [via NME]
