The Stone Roses reunite, plan to "take over the world"

Six months after telling the world to “please fuck off” because a Stone Roses reunion “wasn’t happening” the ’90s darlings have gone and done just that, with news breaking this morning that the influential Brit-pop group is set to play two shows in Manchester next summer.

Confirming the reunion at a press conference today in London, vocalist Ian Brown says the band’s plan is to “take over the world,” adding fuel to the fire that a world tour will follow their first two comeback dates sometime in 2012. [via Manchester Evening News]
