Listen to El-P's Rush remix, "Rush Over BKLYN"

Rather than toss in a generic guest rap or predictable dubstep wobble (or whatever else remixes feature these days), hip-hopper El-P decided to mix Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” for remix of his latest single, “Drones over BKLYN”.

The result is “Rush Over BKLYN,” a prog-heavy cut produced partly as a showcase for Legitmix and partly to help raise money for DJ/producer Mr. Dibbs, who’s currently suffering from liver disease. All proceeds from sales of the remix will go towards the PayItForward2MrDibbs fund.

“Drones in BKLYN” appears on El-P’s upcoming Fat Possum debut, Cancer for Cure, which as of yet doesn’t have a release date but should be out next year. [via Pitchfork]
