Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino gives some of her expert tweeting tips, says you should never drunk tweet

Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino loves her some Twitter. She tweets all the time, and has a lot of followers, so Billboard asked her for some tips.

Her main advice is: overshare, look for attention, tweet about your cat, and don’t drunk tweet. In a nutshell, anyway.

“I was drunk once and talked shit about Katy Perry [on Twitter]-It went on blogs and people asked me about it in interviews for a long time,” she tells Billboard along with some other advice about ignoring trolls.

“”When I was growing up, you couldn’t bully people over the Internet. In this decade, you can tweet at someone, ‘I hate you. Your band sucks!’ and they’ll most likely see it. I’m past the point of getting my feelings hurt, though.”
