Yesterday marked ten years since the September 11 terrorist attacks and it was a day filled to the brim with a hearty mix of remembrances, puff pieces, and good ol’ fashioned American football. But amidst it all, one of the more haunting moments had to be when Paul Simon performed—sans Garfunkel—the classic “Sound of Silence.” Watch Simon’s performance up top and remember the attacks for what they were: a tragedy, regardless of your political affiliations or ideals.
