Watch a new video for Jennifer Castle's "Powers"

Toronto dark folkie Jennifer Castle has until now been perhaps better known by the acts she’s collaborated with—she’s loaned her haunting voice to the albums from the likes of the Constantines and Fucked Up, but with the release of solo album Castlemusic earlier this year, she’s ready for much more of her own acclaim.

Castle has a couple of shows lined up later in the month, including a leg of dates with Flemish Eye label mate Chad VanGaalen. In advance, she’s released a video for “Powers,” a hazy, grainy clip that suits the stark song nicely. You can watch it above and check out the tour dates below.
