Toronto’s The Wooden Sky are wrapping up work on the follow-up to 2009’s excellent If I Don’t Come Home You’ll Know I’m Gone, and as they get out of the studio in Montreal, they’re planning a short run of small-venue shows to “stretch their stage legs” and debut material from the upcoming album, which is due in early 2012.

“I’m excited that these are such intimate venues as it allows a very different chemistry and interaction between the audience and us,” singer Gavin Gardiner said in a press release. “We’re hoping to use these spaces to try new ways of presenting our music and plan on making each show a special and unique experience for both ourselves and the people in the audience.”
