Listen to the new Brasstronaut EP, 'Opportunity'

Vancouver experimental outfit Brasstronaut are about half-way through making their sophomore full-length, and while we won’t see that until sometime in 2010, they’ve released a three-song EP for free streaming in the meantime. You can check it out over at Exclaim!.

Opportunity features two new original, self-produced songs, and a remix by No Gold. Band leader Edo Van Breemen says thatthe EP was as much about getting some new Brasstronaut music out as it was him trying his hand at self-producing. “I’ve been recording and mixing a lot of electronic songs on my laptop recently for my other project, Resorts, and thought I’d try a hand at producing a few for Brasstronaut.”

For the upcoming album, the band is recording with Colin Stewart at the Hive in Vancouver.
