James Blake’s follow-up to his breakthrough self-titled release is on its way, due out October 10th, but thanks to BBC1 we’re happy to give you guys a taste of another new song from the upcoming Enough Thunder EP.

The second song released from the EP following Blake’s collaboration with Bon Iver, “Not Long Now” is a typically sombre affair with a bit of a bass-heavy twist. It premiered last night (or this morning, depending on which time zone you’re in) on Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 1 program, which explains why the song kind of cuts out at the end: no matter how advanced technology gets, cappers will always seemingly have a problem capping one of music’s oldest formats and no matter how hard we wish it, they’ll probably never be able to get rid of overzealous DJs who insist on talking over the songs.

Listen to “Not Long Now” below.
