Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV finally dropped last week and, yeah, you could probably say it’s doing pretty well. It sold just shy of a million copies in its first week (964,000) and broke iTunes single week sales record selling nearly 350,000 of its first week copies on the popular digital e-tailer, breaking the old record set by Watch the Thone, which sold a paltry 290,000 by comparison.

If that wasn’t enough, news broke today that Weezie’s been nominated for an unprecedented 18 BET Hip-Hop Awards (not to be confused with the regular BET Awards), including (but not limited to): Best Hip Hop Video, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year and whatever the “MVP of the Year” and “Hustler of the Year” awards are.

Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West are the next biggest nominees with nine apiece. [via MTV]
