The demise of the Constantines left a void in Canada’s gruff roots-punk loving hearts, so today’s news of a Bry Webb solo album brings us hope and joy.

The former Constantines frontman has announced the release of Provider, out November 15 through Idée Fixe Records. Recorded with Jeff McMurrich (Jennifer Castle, Owen Pallett, Sandro Perri), Provider boats an entirely live off the floor approach, seeing Webb’s distinctive style rounded out by lap steel player Rich Burnett, pedal steel player Mike Brooks, and upright bassist Tyler Belluz. The result is something “organic, eerie and minimal,” according to a press release.

Webb has a couple of local shows lined up, and will join Feist on her upcoming Canadian tour. He also guests on a track on Feist’s upcoming album, Metals. Check out the tour dates below.
