The new, Beck-produced Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks album will be out on Tuesday, and today we get a look at the album’s first video, a colourful clip of layered video projections for the acoustic ballad “No One Is (As I Are Am).”

A song reportedly inspired sonically by Bobbie Gentry’s “Ode to Billie Joe,” everything else is all Malkmus: the disinterested gaze, the not liking anything, the wiseass lyrics, etc. So hopefully you’re still a Malkmus fan.

On a cute note: the New York Times says that Malkmus’ children are featured at the end of the video with the group adorable kids. You can watch the video above.
