Watch Spencer Tweedy's band get torn apart by the guy who played Ryan Atwood on the O.C.

The Blisters are the real life band of Spencer Tweedy (who, of course, is the son of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy) consisting of real life friends Henry and Hayden (not to be confused for his other real-life band with his dad and younger brother, the Raccoonists).

In this Funny Or Die video, “Dave,” played by Ben McKenzie, is their drummer. You may best know him as Ryan Atwood from The O.C. Actually, maybe you only know him from the O.C. Now, we know him from the Blisters, and for this we are thankful.

Some of that macho Atwood broodiness helps McKenzie play a guy who goes through puberty in two days, rendering him…too strong and mature for the band. And too jerk-y. It results in a lot of tension and he ultimately quits just as he’s getting kicked out. You can watch the video above.
