All good things must come to an end: after June and July saw competition get fierce with SiriusXM Canada’s Face the Music, winning communities have been announced and it’s time to give them kudos.

With 100 000 games played since June, individual players and Sirius subscribers will be lucky enough to head to the shows, with a few individual tickets being made available to residents within each area. The person with the most points will also win the Grand Prize (a Face the Music concert of the winner’s choice, spending money and a Sirius Satellite Radio subscription), and nine runners-up will be awarded secondary goods.

So without further adieu, here are the concerts and where they’ll be taking place:

Sam Roberts Band and The Trews – August 11th, 2011
Winning community: Telkwa, BC
(Concert will be held at Fall Fairgrounds in Smithers, BC)

Broken Social Scene and Bedouin Soundclash – August 17th, 2011
Winning community: Sault Ste. Marie, ON
Essar Centre

City and Colour with k-os – August 19th, 2011
Winning community: Sussex, NB
(Concert will be held at the Moncton Coliseum)

Marie-Mai and Alfa Rococo – August 26th, 2011
Winning community: Baie-Comeau, QC
Baie-Comeau Theatre

And it’s only fair to give a huge thank you to everyone who participated. Between the involvement, the enthusiasm and the results themselves, it just goes to show that when it comes to music, Canadians really know their stuff.
