Listen to the first song from The Raccoonists, a band comprised of Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and his two young sons

We mentioned last month that Jeff Tweedy would be singing overtop an instrumental Deerhoof track for that band’s new seven-inch series, and that he also had a single planned with his two sons, Spencer and Sam. The latter was honestly the one we were most interested in, and now, internet, we have it. The cover art is above, and the song can be heard below, with its accompanying homemade video.

The Raccoonists recorded their original song, “Own It,” in Spencer and Sam’s bedroom, and it’s only the first of more planned music. The split single will be out October 11 via Polyvinyl. [via Pitchfork]
