Bob Dylan and Jack White reveal details for their upcoming album of unfinished Hank Williams songs

It’s been two years since we first heard about the Bob Dylan and Jack White project to complete a briefcase worth of unfinished Hank Williams songs, and now, details about the album have been revealed.

The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams will be out on October 4, and not only will White and Dylan be contributing their talents, but artists such as Levon Helm, Lucinda Williams, Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow, and Merle Haggard have also contributed to the previously unheard Hank songs.

The songs were completed by the artists involved. After Williams’ death in 1953, a briefcase was uncovered containing lyrics and song ideas, and Dylan was the one who ended up with the goods. According to Rolling Stone, the full story of will be told in the album’s liner notes.
