#Top40Tweets for the week: Cee Lo's penis is a Hulkamaniac, Katy Perry's patriotic planking, and Kanye is officially BACK

by Aaron Zorgel

At the end of each week, #Top40Tweets lists a cross-section of artists on the current pop charts and puts their tweets on display (along with their current chart number) for your enjoyment/scrutiny. This week, we look at 5 artists on the Billboard Music Charts.

#35: Cee Lo Green – F**k You (Forget You)

Oh, Cee Lo. You loveable tiny pear-shaped horn-dog.

Okay, that’s a bit much.

Seriously? Seriously?

Worth Following?: It’s a toss up. Cee Lo’s tweets induce gut-busting laughter, but also detail his own nut-busting rapture. Swim at your own risk, dwarf-people.

#4: Katy Perry – Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)

Katy Perry’s Patriotic Plank! Mind you, it’s very rudimentary planking compared to the technique shown below:

Very responsible. Wiz would make a good father. No, no. Wiz would make a really cool uncle.

Worth Following?: Most definitely. When it comes to hilarious twitter presence, Wiz is the best in the biz. “Indoor-Hydro-Heavy-Duty-Fruity-Purple-Kush-Acapulco-Gold-Cross? For MY birthday? Aw, you shouldn’t have Unkie Wiz!”

#27: Ke$ha – Blow

Norway is the best. Black Metal. Viking Folk Lore. And bizarre television.

Worth Following?: I’m not sure what it is exactly, but there’s just something about that snotty, drunken, talk-singing, trashy blonde bimbo that just speaks to me, you know?

‘YE IS BACK. YAY.

#16 (R&B/Hip Hop Songs): Kanye West –All of the Lights

The drought is over! After 111 days without a Tweet, Kanye has returned. Sorta. I would have liked for Kanye’s return to Twitter to be a little more climactic, or personal. But I’ll take it.

Worth Following?: That remains to be seen. Will Kanye’s Twitter remain a vessel for faceless self-promotion? Or will he once again bless us with mind-altering Twitter wisom, like the classic “My favorite unit of measurement is a ‘shit load'”? Stay tuned…
