Listen to Jay-Z and Kanye West pay tribute to Otis Redding on new 'Watch the Throne' single, "Otis"

It’s hard not to pay attention to all the small details about the Jay-Z/Kanye West collaborative album, Watch the Throne, that are being released one by one in tantalizing, annoying morsels. We know what the cover looks like, the tracklisting, pre-order info, and now there’s a firm release date of August 1 (digitally, August 5 physically), and now, finally, FINALLY, we get to hear another song from it.

The first we’ve heard since “H.A.M.” was released in January is “Otis,” and it makes up for the disappointment of the first single. Sampling Otis Redding and sounding not only on top of their game, but excitedly so, Jay-Z and Kanye are definitely giving us something to look forward to even more.
