Coheed and Cambria bassist Michael Todd was arrested last night after allegedly robbing a Walgreens in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Todd is reported to have shown a note to the store’s pharmacist demanding Oxycontin and threatening possession of a bomb. He fled the scene in a taxi with a reported six bottles of pills in hand and was arrested shortly thereafter at the Comcast Center, mere hours before his band’s scheduled set (which they played without him, by the way).

Currently on tour opening for recently reformed grunge icons Soundgarden, Coheed and Cambria says no shows will be cancelled, adding that they’ll “address the situation with Michael after the tour.”

Todd has struggled with addiction in the past, including a stint in rehab back in 2006 for heroin addiction. He’s currently being held on $10,000 bail.

Wes Styles, a multi-instrumentalist, producer and friend of the band will fill in on bass for the tour’s remaining dates.  [via TMZ]
