Like most of us have denied we once screamed the words between sips of coolers, the Black Eyed Peas have disowned “My Humps”, with Will.i.Am revealing that they’re often tempted never to play the song again.

In an interview with The Daily Record, the frontman admits the track “wasn’t lyrical miracles,” and that “it got to the point where [they] didn’t want to play it anymore”. However, “the beat was rocking,” so despite the prayers of millions, it didn’t die.

Also, in other “songs from 2005” news, DJ Orrin Lynn Tolliver will be awarded $1.2M in profits and damages after “My Humps” improperly sampled his 1982 song, “I Need a Freak”. No word on whether he too, plans to disown the genius that is “lovely lady lumps”. [via NME]
