It was announced a little while ago that the Foo Fighters would be having local punk heroes Fucked Up as well as a reunited Doughboys open their August 9 show at the Air Canada Centre, and fans of 90s indie Canrock were as excited as they were about the Rusty reunion at NXNE (which, by the way, was awesome).

Now, it’s been announced that Doughboys will also play a more Doughboys-sized venue the day before, as they hit the stage at the Bovine Sex Club on August 8 for a free, no-longer-secret show. ‘Tis the summer of nostalgia. Let’s smile at “Shine” together and remember the summer people thought we meant Collective Soul when we talked about this song. [via Chartattack]
