Better video is sure to surface still from last night’s Paul Simon show at Webster Hall in NYC, but here we have one for weary Tuesday souls in the meantime: David Byrne hopped on stage at the small 1,500-person venue to join Simon for an encore. And he danced. Oh my. Simon’s been playing smaller venues alongside his stadium shows all along his current tour, but this one is sure to be one of the most memorable of the bunch.

The two performed the Talking Heads classic “Road to Nowhere,” and Simon’s hit “You Can Call Me Al,” trading vocals not only with each other but with the whole ecstatic audience—in this clip you can practically hear them beaming when they shout along with the chorus. The video’s a bit shaky but the audio isn’t bad, and besides, we weren’t there, so we’ll totally take it. You can watch the video above. [Hat tip to Spinner]
