Montreal indie-rock supergroup Wolf Parade are still on their hiatus, but the band’s co-leaders are keeping busy—Dan Boeckner is getting set to release a new Handsome Furs album, and Spencer Krug is releasing the full-lenth debut of his alter-ego, Moonface, on August 2.

Label JagJaguwar will be releasing this one like they did the first EP Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit-Drums in 2009; the new album will be called Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I’d Hoped.

Krug said in a press release: “Though it’s only 5 tracks long, Organ Music runs around 37 minutes and is dense, but in a satisfying way, I hope, like eating a small, heavy piece of cheesecake. It’s music played with an organ, organ beats, organ beeps and bloops, and some digital drums. Music based on layers and loops, the hypnotizing sound of a Leslie speaker, and the onslaught of melody.”

You can listen to the first song, “Fast Peter” from the album below. [via Pitchfork]
