Velvet Goldmine director Todd Haynes to direct My Morning Jacket web concert

On May 31, My Morning Jacket will celebrate the release of their new album Circuital with a hometown performance at the Louisville Palace Theater in Louisville, KY. More than just a regular concert though, the show will be broadcast via YouTube as part of the ongoing VEVO/American Express Unstaged concert series.

We’ve previously seen Unstaged shows featuring Arcade Fire directed by Terry Giliam, The Roots & John Legend directed by Spike Lee, and Duran Duran by David Lynch. Tune into the band’s YouTube page on the 31st at 9 p.m. EST. You can watch a teaser trailer for the show below. It looks super weird.
