At the end of each week, #Top40Tweets lists a cross-section of artists on the current pop charts and puts their tweets on display (along with their current chart number) for your enjoyment/scrutiny. This week, we look at 6 artists on the Billboard Music Charts.

#3: Britney Spears – Till The World Ends

Cute! Now, let’s have a little look at that twitpic, shall w–OH GOD NO.

This is so creepy it kind of makes me want to cry. Brit looks like she’s still wearing yesterday’s makeup, and she burned off half  her eyebrows this afternoon, making Mama’s Sweet Tea. Yama hama, it’s fright night.

Worth Following?: Yes. It’s always good to keep an eye on Brit, even if her twitter seems heavily manager-esque. I had a conversation with someone recently about whether or not Justin Bieber would turn out to be a normal guy or not. I think Brit is the closest thing we’ve got to a precedent. I can’t wait for Biebs to go insane and shave his head. It’ll get me through my twilight years.

98: Nicki MInaj – Super Bass

Following Nicki Minaj on Twitter is like being in a bad online RPG. If Young Money is actually serious about making money, they should start a World of Warcraft style community.

Worth Following?: Yes, definitely. *clicks ‘Follow’ and gazes longingly/lovingly at Nicki’s avatar*

#11: Cee Lo Green – F**k You (Forget You)

You totally look like a little person, and now we know that you know this.

“Welcome to my lair. It’s me, Cee Lo, the largest Little Person in the Red Nebula. Approach me, if you dare.”

Worth Following?: Meh. Is anyone watching “The Voice” on NBC/CTV? It’s a cool idea for a show, but it’s executed so poorly. It’s probably because Carson Daly is the host. Everything that guy touches turns to shit.

#15: WIz Khalifa – Roll Up

This gives me a very clear picture of how a hip-hop star lives in 2011. Especially the “via Twitter for iPad” part.

Worth Following?: Yes. If I routinely got high, sucked back steak and lobster, all the while live-tweeting the whole experience from my iPad, using my ringed pinky finger (the only digit not covered in butter & grease), you’d follow me, wouldn’t you?

#6: Rihanna – S&M

Anyone who says Top 40 artists are talentless, and undeserving of their fame is so incredibly wrong. These people work hard. #petpeeve

Worth Following?: Yes. Seriously, though. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say  “Rihanna/Ke$ha/Katy Perry SUCKS. She has NO TALENT,” or something to that effect, anyway.  It drives me bonkers. There’s something about performing on that level, and being successful, that is undeniable.

And, because I’m in a good mood, let’s do one BONUS UNCHARTED TWEET OF THE WEEK!
Uncharted: Sean Kingston –
Party All Night (Sleep All Day)

Sounds to me like Sean Kingston actually followed up on one of those “I am a Nigerian Prince…” spam emails.

Worth Following?: Yes. He’s not a beast on the charts right now, but it seems like his portfolio is doing ok as is. TTYL, guys – I’ve gotta write SK an email about an investment opportunity.
