The annual Sasquatch! music festival took place at the scenic Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington this weekend, and Modest Mouse used their set to debut some new material, perhaps even some of the tunes the band has been working on in the studio with Big Boi.

There’s no set release date or further details for the upcoming album, but the two tracks, tentatively titled “Poison” and “Lampshades on Fire” could easily fit into the last few of the bands’ albums, which were much more tuneful than anyone ever thought Modest Mouse had any business being. “Poison” in particular is classic Modest Mouse, Isaac Brock his frenetic self, and the guitars at once intricate, deliberate, piling up into a big sludgy mess. It’s great.

You can listen to the songs below.

Modest Mouse, “Poison”

Modest Mouse, “Lampshades on Fire”
