Los Campesinos! finish recording new album

For the past few months Los Campesinos! lead vocalist and main songwriter Gareth has been diligent in providing written updates on how the band’s upcoming new album, their fourth following last year’s Romance Is Boring, has been going as well as posting some other funny pics and videos. Their latest post reveals the album is now complete and ready for mixing.

“It’s fair to say we are all proud and excited with the results of our last month’s endeavours,” he wrote. “I can honestly say the band has never been as close knit and united as we are right now, and I have never enjoyed my band mates’ company (and John Goodmanson of course) as much as this. I think this, our fourth album, is going to display the confidence we now have, and we’re pretty much willing to take on the world.”

We’re still waiting for a tracklist, however two songs entitled “The Black Bird” and “The Dark Slope” have been confirmed for the album, which is apparently going to be released sometime later this year. [TwentyFourBit]
