Punk stalwart label Epitaph Records has announced that the debut solo project from Killers’ drummer Ronnie Vannucci would be released on the label on July 12.

The solo project and album will be called Big Talk, though details from the label were frustratingly vague, saying only that Vannucci will “step out from behind the drum kit of one of the biggest bands of the past ten years to show us what he’s got,” and that “Vannucci is a true multi-instrumentalist and superb vocalist who has created an album that pays homage to some of his greatest influences.” But what are they, guys? What does it all mean?

The only audio clues given are via the official Big Talk website, where compiled studio clips provide short, unclear snippets while Vannucci mostly slapsticks around. The album was produced by Joe Chicarelli (The Strokes, My Morning Jacket), and mixed by Alan Moulder (U2, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins). You can watch one of the preview videos below.
