It’s election day, Canada! No surprise here, but the arts community doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Harper. Whether being a hype man to their followers the day or two before, on their way out to vote, or just back from, Canada’s musicians were very vocal about what they were doing—and expected you to do—in the polls today. The social media election gave us some insight, some laughs, and some shameful self-promotion (we’re looking at you, Elliot Brood!), and since tweeting has been banned during the election, here’s a round up of some of our favourite pre-election chatter from musicians to tide you over.
