This morning's new music news; Washed Out has announced the release date for his debut LP, Linkin Park's "Iridescent" will be featured in the next Transformers movie and Brian Eno will put out a new collaborative album on July 5.

Washed Out will release his debut LP Within and Without on July 12 via Sub Pop. The album follows the EP Life of Leisure and was co-produced by Ben Allen. [Exclaim!]

Linkin Park’s song “Iridescent” will be featured in the new Transformers movie, Dark of the Moon. “Irisdescent has always been a fan-favorite when we play live, so we’re thrilled that [director] Michael Bay decided to feature it in his third Transformers movie,” the band said. [NME]

And Brian Eno will be releasing a new album called Drums Between The Bells on July 5. It will be a collaborative effort with poet Rick Holland. [CofS]
