This morning's new music news; Cults will be returning to Canada for three shows in Toronto and Montreal, Iggy Pop is working on a soft-rock covers album that's set to come out next year and the set times have been revealed for this year's Coachella Festival.

New York City duo Cults will return to Canada this summer for shows in Toronto and Montreal. The band will be playing at Lee’s Palace on June 17 and at Yonge-Dundas Square the following day. They will then head to Montreal for a show at Il Motore on June 19. [Exclaim!]

Iggy Pop is working on a soft-rock covers albums, which will feature a version of the Beatles’ “Michelle” and songs by Serge Gainsbourg and Henri Salvador. It is expected to be released next year. [The Guardian]
