This morning's new music news; Death From Above 1979 have been confirmed for this year's Osheaga Festival, Ladytron will release a new record called 'Gravity The Seducer' in the fall and Brother have announced they'll be putting out their debut album in July.

Death From Above 1979 will be performing at Osheaga in Montreal this summer, according to the festival’s Twitter page. The full lineup has yet to be revealed but the two-day event takes place July 30 and 31 at Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Ladytron will release a new album this fall entitled Gravity The Seducer. It has been described by band member Daniel Hunt as “more of a jump than the last album was, more ethereal and melodic, a touch more abstract in places than we’ve gone before, baroque ‘n’ roll.” It will be released on September 13. [Exclaim!]

And English band Brother will put our their debut album Famous First Words on July 4 in the UK. It was produced by Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths) and recorded at Angelic Studios in Northampton. [NME]
