Almost a year after releasing their debut album Denim on Denim, Regina, SK-based pop rock band Library Voices have announced that they signed with Nevado Records for their sophomore effort, Summer of Lust.

The album doesn’t have an expected release date until late summer, but we should find out the exact date soon. Until then, they’ve offered up a free download of the political anthem “The Prime Minister’s Daughter” (and yes, it focuses on Stephen Harper, his family and cuts to arts funding) and will release the first single “Generation Handclap” as a 7” with a remix by Kitchen Party on May 31.

Summer of Lust was recorded in just 10 days at a Montreal studio with the Besnard Lake’s Jace Lasek. [Exclaim]
