Coheed and Cambria's new video lacks guitar solo, features WORDS

Coheed and Cambria released a video for “Far” yesterday and, according to the angst ridden stream of YouTube comments on the video’s page, it’s been anything but well received.

“Far” is an otherwise well shot video marred by streams of giant words splashing and cracking across the screen, and to make things worse, the video version of the song cuts it the track short by over a minute, opting to remove its main build-up and ensuing guitar solo. Because, y’know, fans of a Rush inspired prog-punk (I guess?) band probably aren’t interested in anything but the hooks.

The song is the third single off 2010’s Year of the Black Rainbow
