This morning's new music news; The Flaming Lips and Neon Indian have collaborated for a new four song record, Sum 41's latest album 'Screaming Bloody Murder' is currently streaming online and former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri was not allowed to play with his old band at a recent show.

The Flaming Lips and Neon Indian have collaborated for a new four-song twelve-inch that is currently being personally delivered to record stores in the US. No Canadian release has been announced. [Exclaim!]

Sum 41’s new record Screaming Bloody Murder is currently streaming online via their official website. It comes out next week following 2007’s Underclass Hero.

And Nick Oliveri, the former bassist for Queen of the Stone Age, recently asked lead singer Josh Homme if he could perform a song with the band, however the frontman declined. Apparently the two are still on good terms since Oliveri’s departure in 2004. [UGO]
