This morning's new music news; Friendly Fires has announced details for their sophomore album 'Pala', My Morning Jacking will be touring North America this summer and the first track from Thurston Moore's upcoming solo album is currently streaming online.

Friendly Fires will release their sophomore album entitled Pala on May 17 via XL Recordings. The title of the record was taken for Aldous Huxley’s novel Island and its first single is called “Live Those Days Tonight.” [Exclaim!]

My Morning Jacket will be touring North America in support of their upcoming album Circuital this summer. They have Canadian shows book in Vancouver (June 29), Toronto (July 11) and Montreal (July 12). [CofS]

And the first track from Thurston Moore’s fourth solo album Demolished Thoughts is streaming online over at NPR. The track is called “Benediction” and was produced by Beck.
