This morning's new music news; English dance band Faithless has decided to call it quits, J Mascis' new solo album is currently streaming online and Ryan Adams will head back into the studio with producer Glyn Johns to record a new album.

English dance band Faithless has decided to break up. Singer Maxi Jazz wrote a post on the band’s official website stating, “After 15 years(!) and six albums(!!) I think we’ve probably made our collective point by now and that it’s time to close the book and return to the library.” [BBC]

J Mascis’ new solo record Several Shades of Why is currently streaming online in its entirety over at Exclaim!.

And Ryan Adams will be heading back into the studio to begin work on a new album with producer Glyn Johns who has previously worked with The Who, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. [CofS]
