This morning's new music news; Gorillaz' iPad-recorded album gets a physical release, Ja Rule will start serving two years of jail time in June and a new Bruce Springsteen doc will be released in May.

The physical copy of  Gorillaz’ Ipad-recorded album entitled The Fall will be released on 180-gram vinyl on Record Store Day (April 16). The CD and digital download will arrive a few days later. [Exclaim!]

Rapper Ja Rule will serve two years in prison for attempted criminal possession of a loaded gun, but doesn’t have to turn himself in until June so he can sort out a lingering federal tax matter as well as finish recording his latest album. [New York Post]

And a new Bruce Springsteen 90-minute documentary will hit stores May 3 featuring footage from home rehearsals and studio sessions as well as interviews with many of the people involved in the making of Darkness On The Edge Of Town. [CofS]
