Like their albums or not, The Strokes have always been a great band to see live. So good that last summer promoters apparently paid them a considerable amount of money to reform and play a string of festivals, which in turn were lauded as some of the best performances the band has ever given.

With a new album due out in a couple weeks, The Strokes returned to TV last night for a performance on Saturday Night Live. They played Angles‘ tracks “Under Cover of Darkness” and “Life Is Simple In The Moonlight,” the latter proving to be the better of the two with singer Julian a little more comfortable with shades on. Watch them both below.
