The long wait for new material from one of Canada’s best (if yet largely unheard) bands, The D’Urbervilles, was made even more torturous by frontman John O’Regan’s sudden rise to prominent success as Diamond Rings and the pause it gave the D’Urbs.

But today, rumblings of a return were heard today as the band relaunched their website with a new song and video, and along with those, announced a band name change—the Oshawa post-punks will now be known as Matters.

“Get In Or Get Out” is clean and succinct and keeps all of what made D’Urbervilles’ last record We Are Hunters so fantastic—the dark energy, the jilted rhythms, the wiry guitars—in place while turning out something new that’s been well worth the wait. The song is available as a seven-inch through their website. Full album details have yet to be released.

The video was directed by prolific local production duo Colin Medley and Jared Raab. You can watch it below and get joyful with us from the comfort of your home or work.
