The Sounds love AUX so much! They play tonight at 1am. Photo by Ashley Carter/AUX.

Long first day! But still so much more to see and do. Here’s a sampling of where we’ll be tonight, including some huge names and a burgeoning star or two.

Emmylou Harris at 12:45 p.m., and the Head and the Heart at 2:20 p.m.: Radio Day Stage Austin Convention Center
A legend and a group of Seattle folky up and comers share the stage at a relaxed day stage. Wander the Convention Centre and try to scam some free coffee (or a massage, in a room full of people on their laptops taking occasional glances up at you, if that’s your thing) from the media lounge. [NV]

The Strokes: 8:00 p.m., Auditorium Shores Stage (Lady Bird Lake)
Obviously one of the biggest draws this year, the Strokes are suffering a bit of new album burnout, and the thing isn’t even out. Angles leaked earlier this week so the band reacted and released a full stream, and the delayed releases and recent jaded interviews don’t seem to be stopping the buzz. Will we get into this show? Will most of the people who attempt to? Will it be any good? Will they be redeemed? STAY TUNED. [NV]

Teen Daze: 9:15 p.m. at Karma Lounge
This Vancouver bedroom-popsmith has gotten considerable love from Canada’s public (internet) broadcaster and its dedicated listeners. He’s on the same bill as Moby. Two reasons to check this show out. [NV]

The Bangles, 11:45 p.m. and the Sounds, 1:00 a.m.: Two shamelessly loveable and globally adored pop acts share a bill at Cedar Street Courtyard tonight. They’re joined by a host of young and female acts who, looking at their ages, may be just a bit too young to owe it all to Susanna Hoffs. [NV]

TV on the Radio: 12:30 p.m. at Stubb’s
We have it on good authority that a member of the Death Set will be joining the Brooklyn band for their set tonight. What’s still unclear is whether or not it will be to fill in for bassist Gerard Smith, who was diagnosed with lung cancer not long ago and won’t be able to join the band on tour. This show will hopefully feature some new material from upcoming album Nine Types of Light, out April 12. [NV]

Hieroglyphics: 12:40, Scoot Inn: Not sure if Del the Funky Homosapien is with them or not. If he isn’t, don’t bother. They may be hip-hop legends, but most of that is because of Del. [TM]
